Duodenal probing is a diagnostic and therapeutic procedure in which the contents of the duodenum and bile are collected through a thin tube. It shows how well the liver, gallbladder and bile ducts are working.
In sanatorium practice the procedure is also used for treatment — to flush the gallbladder, improve bile flow and normalise digestion. It is done as prescribed by the doctor.
Probing helps reduce bile stasis, heaviness and discomfort and improves digestion and liver function. It is part of the combined sanatorium treatment of digestive conditions.
